Graduation is almost here! This year the Bluff PTSO is offering a reserved seating pass to accompany the tickets your senior will receive for 2016 Graduation. What are the benefits of reserved seating?

There is No Deadline, however we are anticipating these seats to be sold out quickly.

On May 7, 2016, you are invited to “Rooftop Garden,” which will be held at the North Augusta Municipal Building. The cost is $35.00 each, to be paid March 28-April 22 only. No money will be accepted after April 22. Please bring exact cash or make checks payable to Silver Bluff High School. You may pay Mrs. Powell before 12:00 each day.
All persons attending Prom must be approved by the administration. The following information concerns students whose dates do not attend Silver Bluff:
1. School discipline record checked if not a SBHS student.
2. Age limit is 21.
3. Any student who has been expelled or has been in legal trouble will not be approved.
4. The administration of SBHS has the right to allow or not allow entrance to the prom for any person who has had a questionable past.
Only Silver Bluff juniors and seniors are eligible to sign up for Prom with their approved dates. Freshmen and sophomores are only allowed to attend as approved dates of juniors or seniors.
If you are bringing a date who is not a current student of SBHS, you must get a form from Mrs. Powell, which will be turned in with your payment.
Because an outside venue has been rented for Prom, there will be no refunds. You will not be allowed to change your date’s name after April 22.
You will not be allowed to enter the dance if your name or your date’s name is not on the list. You will be checked off as you enter. Once you leave, you may not return. All school rules apply. Security will be provided by the City of North Augusta Public Safety.
Picture packages will be available. Times and prices will be posted at a later date. There will be times available before 8:00 if you would like to come early to get your picture made.

Please join us on Saturday, May 14, from 10:00-2:00 for the first annual Bulldog Bonanza Arts Festival at Silver Bluff High School! Admission is free!
Our newly formed FFA will be selling BBQ plates (including a drink) for $8.00 a plate. The chorus, drama, and band will have performances throughout the day. The NJROTC will present hourly Drill Team demonstrations.
Various Silver Bluff clubs and classes, including: the art department, yearbook staff, Freshman Academy, the English Department, and the Culinary Arts classes will have displays and hands-on opportunities for all to enjoy.
Our PTSO and the Booster Club will be on hand to sell "Bluff gear." Media Specialist Alison Carpenter will be presenting the SC Book Award Program, and the Business Education department will have demonstrations in Photoshop and Animation. Rounding out the day, Ms. Amanda Hewett science teacher, will present a fire display.
What a great opportunity to see what Silver Bluff has to offer! Whether you are a current or future student, new to the community, or just proud to be a Bulldog, you won’t want to miss the fun!

Summer School 2016
Grade Promotion Requirements: 10th grade: 5 credits to include 1 English & 1 math, 11th grade: 11 credits to include 2 English, 2 math & 1 science, 12th grade: 17 credits to include 3 English, 3 math & 2 sciences.
To be eligible for credit recovery the final grade in the failed class must be 60-69. The failed grade changes to 70 when successful. Credit recovery may be attempted one time per course. Credit recovery for seniors can be approved May 31, grades 9-11 can be approved June 6. The NCAA will not accept credit recovery.
Silver Bluff High School is participating in a Summer Feeding Program from June 6 – July 28, 7:00am to 1:00pm (closed Fridays & July 4th week). Anyone 18 years old and under may eat for free.
Silver Bluff High School: Offered if sufficient enrollment. Students provide own transportation & may bring own food.
Students May Not Leave Campus for Lunch.
Registration: Thursday June 9, 8:00am. – 12:00pm.
Fees: Cashier’s Check or Money Order payable to SBHS. Cash or Personal checks will not be accepted.
Initial & Repeat credits $250, half credits $150, Credit Recovery $150.00 per course.
Priority: Seniors then students repeating classes then initial attempts in a course.
Instruction: Classes are computer based using the APEX Learning digital curriculum.
Supervision: It is our intention to have a teacher certified in English & math to supervise at alternate times however
supervision by a certified teacher is not guaranteed.
Dates & Times: June 13-16, 20-23, 27-30. All day: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (30 minutes for lunch).
Credit Recovery courses - Student is dismissed upon completion. NCAA will not accept credit recovery. Courses: English 1, 2, 3, 4, Algebra 1 Parts 1 & 2, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, World History, US History, US Government, Economics.
Initial & Repeat courses – Attendance is required. NCAA may not accept these classes. Aiken Virtual Academy: Registration: Thursday June 9, 8:00am. – 12:00pm. at SBHS. Cashier’s Check or Money Order payable to SBHS, no cash or personal checks. Classes are June 13-July 28, final exam at SBHS August 2, 9:00am. This is a home based program. Students may use a SBHS computer for a fee of $25. After registering student creates an account at VirtualSC.org. Offering: Keyboarding ˝ credit, Computer Apps ˝ credit, $100 each.
VirtualSC.org FREE. NCAA will accept core initial/repeat courses only. Classes fill up before registration ends! Initial/Repeat Registration: Grades 11-12 May 18-June 1, Grades 9-12 May 25-June 1. Classes are June 8-July 29, final exam at SBHS August 2, 9:00am. Credit Recovery requests close June 10 subject to space availability. Credit recovery registration ends June 11 and must start by June 15. Students must create their own account then request a course through their account. Guidance must be notified of the request within 72 hours or the request will expire. Parents are strongly recommended to create a parent account to monitor progress.

Registration is June 6 at Aiken High School. Classes meet Monday-Thursday 9am to 1pm. Requires 60 hours of seat or off campus computer time per credit. Diploma completion will also be offered in August. Also offering GED & WorkKeys, no credit recovery.
